  1. I live in Thanet and in past times I have flown from Manston to various European destinations. Since the closure I have flown from Gatwick on several occasions and needed to hire taxis to get to and from Gatwick airport … at a cost (then) of £80 each way.

  2. I am aware (and believe) that the re-opening of Manston Airport will provide badly needed employment opportunities for many people residing in S.E. Kent.

  3. Manston is well suited to the handling and distribution of imported 'goods'. It is within easy reach of the S.E. motorway network and I believe that there has been some discussion about extending the local railway network to the airport.
