I am in support of the application as having an airport is of significant importance for the country and the area, now and certainly in the near future.
If the land were be used otherwise (e.g housing or commercial) , the infrastructure issue will raise it even sooner. The airport however would unlock the area and bring long term employments and benefits to the area.
Elsewhere in Europe and the world we see similar issues and if the UK would not take this opportunity it would cost significantly more time and money to create later. To keep up the UK needs the increase in cargo (and passenger) capacity rather sooner than later. The Manston site is unique located in the South East with excellent links over road and water to the UK and Europe and it is available now.
