I wish to object to the planned cargo hub at Manston. I feel it will damage the town, lessen the tourism trade, be environmentally unsound and have a detremental effect throughout. I object to the statements made that it will bring untold riches to the town - in fact I feel it will do the opposite. The proposals that it will bring wealth in the form of untold jobs is untrue. The workers will probably be specialists brought in from other areas. The increased transport will also be problem. The cargo hub expects to be operating throughout the night to some degree and this would be damaging to physical and mental health. The towns of Ramsgate and Herne Bay will be directly under the flightpath and the planes coming in via Ramsgate are extremely low, noisy and unsettling.
