I am against this development for a number of reasons: 1. We already have the largest distribution park in Europe on our doorstep, Magna Park, this development is now most of the way down the A5 and about to join the Hinckley industrial park, there is no need for another Magna Park. 2. There are a number of Rail Freight parks within the area, DIRFT (Daventry), BIFT (Birmingham) and ABP (Hams Hall Rail Freight Terminal) without the need to build another one right in the middle of villages 3. This proposes covers 210 acres of farmland surrounded by rural villages, Magna Park is 500 acres, surely it makes more sense to utilise what is already in place (see point 2) 4. Burbage Common is 200 acres, less than the proposed build, the impact on the local wildlife will be catastrophic not to mention the health and wellbeing of all local residents to use this woodland to de stress and come together as a community 5. The road system around this proposed build will not cope with the additional tens of thousands of HGVs on the road, this is a rural area with small lanes and roads which are already congested due to the lack of expansion on the A5 and the town centre of Hinckley is gridlocked at rush hour, this additional traffic from HGVs PLUS cars for employees with put out roads at a standstill, even with the proposed new road development This whole development is ill thought out and provides zero benefit to the area, but will damage it beyond belief It should not go ahead if anyone values green spaces, mental health and wellbeing and the future of our animals and insects which depend on these 200 acres
