The proposal to provide an access road to link to the B road opposite the rugby club, cricket club, squash club and football club is dangerous. The B road cannot accommodate the amount of HGV traffic planned and the number of sports people, including many young people, using the sports facilities, put their lives at risk due to the sheer volume of heavy traffic. There are already many under-utilised rail hubs within only a few miles of the proposed Hinckley hub. The extended build timescale will produce a detrimental effect on the use, by thousands of local people, of the SSSI Burbage Common and will have a negative effect on the wildlife there, including protected species. The proposed build is in the centre of surrounding small villages which will suffer years of construction traffic and the subsequent HGV and commuter traffic.
