My main concern is that this huge development abuts a popular and well used local beauty spot, containing meadows, woodlands, streams and common land. It is currently a quiet and peaceful place, full of birdsong, which will disappear if the proposed development goes ahead. In adding to this, while enjoying the cowslip covered meadows and bluebell laden woodlands this weekend, I happened upon an area covered in early purple spotted orchids. Their location in right by the boundary of the proposed development, and since they are a rare and protected species (under the Wildlife and countryside act 1981), scarce in central England, growing only in ancient sites (Woodland trust website), then I am very concerned that the proposed development would impact their delicate ecosystem. I implore you to find a different site to build this development, away from this area.
