Again today around 6pm, junction 2 of the M69 to Hinckley had a two mile queue of cars. This is extremely dangerous and bringing this additional flow with lorries will only make matters worse. Instead it would be more sensible to open a 2b exit a bit further up to avoir clogging and, dangerous and careless drivers including lorry drivers. There are enough of careless drivers amongst DPD every morning and afternoon. A 2b exit to Earl Shilton would be great! I do not understand how this could happen without any check of flux/flow on the J2 of the M69 to Hinckley, joining the A5 - another driving trunk full of lorries. The noise coming from the constant 24hrs operation will be unbearable when one can already hear the noise coming from the A47 around Earl Shilton. Once more promoting access to a new school does not add value to the inclusive life that our modern world deserve. It is very short sighted. How about a special needs primary and secondary school to support the local community? It is about time that the council districts thinks about establishing feasible and viable places for our young persons who deserve the best education and would flourish in an education aimed at them and for them. More houses equals more families equals more children with special needs. What is your research on the impact of special needs families on the community and your proposal for bringing inclusivity to the area? Environment - I am not partly happy about Burbage Commons to be shredded and sized down however I do not have the research to fight this battle. I shall leave this to my environmental friends. Shops - Earl Shilton will die as the assumption will be to bring either internal community stores to the new residential areas or to have it near or in Hinckley. Earl Shilton deserves to be on the map and have some peripheral commercial opportunities e.g. Lidl (because I like their fresh bread), Dunelm, Next, Marks and Spencers, Waitrose (the nearest one is 9 miles away and it is tiny), independent stores, a swimming pool, a cinema, etc. The infrastructure needs to match the potential markets that this possible project may bring; potential commuters, young families, etc.
