The proposed construction of a national rail freight interchange near our community will have significant negative impacts on the local environment, health, and quality of life for residents. The increase in noise, air pollution, light pollution, and traffic congestion from the operation of the interchange will not only harm the health of our community, but also damage the natural habitats and wildlife in the surrounding areas. Furthermore, the construction of this interchange will have a significant impact on the character of the community and its landscape. As such, we strongly oppose the construction of this national rail freight interchange in our area. There are also other freight rail terminals in the midlands. I am strongly against this project.
