Hello, I would like to register my support for this project. After having seen the plans on this submission, and submissions prior, I believe that this plan has serious merit for several reasons. 1) Green - a rail hub will allow a reduced number of lorries on the roads of Britain, with freight being moved by rail. This allows the greater proportion of transportation to be done via green energy. 2) improved transportation infrastructure - Hinckley is plagued with only two internal crossings of the railway line between Hinckley and Burbage/M69. This results in heavy congestion around the Hub and London Road junctions, making them havoc for road users. A new rail hub means opening up Junction 2 of the M69 northbound, and additionally making a connecting road to the pre-existing ring road that stops at the Leicester Road roundabout. This would complete the ring road and allow an expedient movement of commuter traffic away from the town centre. 3) jobs - whilst the plan itself would generate jobs in the local area, it would also in-turn attract additional investment for companies wanting to make use of the proximity of a rail hub. This, therefore, would have a strong economic multiplier effect on the initial investment in the local area. As such, I strongly implore you to consider carefully these plans, and hopefully come to a similar conclusion yourselves. Please do not be swayed by a legion of 'not in my back yard' residents who are only concerned with their small portion of the world rather than the greater interests of society. Regards
