The proposed development will significantly increase traffic and congestion upon the roads around Hinckley which already struggle with peak load. In particular, the increased traffic on the A47 Hinckley northern perimeter road presents a serious safety risk for residents entering or leaving the housing estates on this road (such as the [Redacted] where I live) which were built before it became an A road and have no traffic control measures (such as traffic lights or roundabouts) to help safe entry and exit from the estates. The proposal does not recognise this risk and contains no mitigations.
