The impact of this scheme will make a great difference to Burbage Common as people using the common will have to put up with noise, smell, impact on wild life and will no longer be a lovely peaceful place to be. Also there will be a great difference in the amount of traffic going through Burbage, Hinckley and the surrounding villages as there will be people travelling to work there on aleady congested roads. Also we don't need another rail terminal in this area as there are others close by. Residents in the above mentioned will have to put up with a lot more freight trains (noise and pollution) travelling past them. There will be a lot more pollution from extra cars and lorries in the area and trains. This project is situated far too close to towns and villages and is unnecessary as there is already plenty of work in this area.
