With there being a freight distribution site already nearby in Crick / Rugby , in a much more industrial location, there is no need to bring the onslaught of traffic and pollution into already overly congested roads around Hinckley. Our main routes in and out of the town including the A5, A47 and M69 already cannot cope with the amount of traffic with incidents often occurring. The placement of this freight site is inconsiderate of already overpopulated neighbourhoods. This site also poses serious threat to wildlife sanctuaries being right next to the protected site of Burbage Common and Woods, being a home to many species of bird, deer, foxes, hedgehogs as well as many other animals affected by industrialisation. In my opinion there are much more sensible, accessible sites fit for purpose that do not interrupt with ecosystems, or already struggling flows of traffic. Hinckley is already a busy town with many factory jobs, there are other towns where creating jobs will be more necessary.
