I have lived in the Hinckley/Narborough area all of my life. Burbage Common is the only 'large'green space in the the local area for dog walking, walking , running, horse riding, taking the the family out for picnic and for a bit of quiet time. The 'roadway/track' between the A47 Hinckley end thru to Elmsthorpe is a lovely walk/ride/run/drive which will be taken away, along with the surrounding fields, Woodhouse Farmshop which I use regulary along with the Dog Day Care facilities which I and an awful lot of other people use will go. Not to mention taking away the business of the Dog Daycare along with the staff they employ, together with farmshop business, staff and the local produce they supply. And at the other end of the track you have the cafe on Burbage Common which may also be affected by reduced footfall. And most of all, its another wild, green space, environment, a place of peace, tranquilty, beauty and respite which is going to be trashed by heavy vehicles, diesel and roadways and traffic. What happened to improving peoples mental health and well being?
