There will be an overflow of traffic that uses the site which will impact the wider area. I would be more likely to support the site if good and services came and went by rail however I understand that a percentage of goods will be leaving the site on HGV’s or lorries therefor the title National Rail Freight is incorrect. The surrounding area which I use regularly is already congested during peak times and has several housing development underway or planned just off the A47 which will further add to congestion of thousands of cars. Unless all freight was leaving by rail this site will further degrade air quality- particularly particulate matter , noise pollution and make residents life difficult to get around. The added slip road would only mitigate some of these issues as overflow would be inevitable at certain times.
