We live just off Normandy Way in Hinckley. already we have severe hold ups along this road because of the industrial estate, the established housing estates and now we have a vast Bloor Homes estate and school being built along this road with another housing estate going to be built opposite Morrisons. Normandy Way was supposed to be a perimeter road that feeds traffic from Leicester, Nuneaton, A5, M1, M69 and the A47 and Coalville areas. With added transportation and cars going too and from the proposed HNRFI site this infrastructure will cause havoc for road travel but also for air quality and other environmental issues. Hinckley can only just cope with the amount of traffic now. Why as a nation we cannot produce our own goods I do not understand. We used to manufacture and produce our own food and goods now we are reliant on other countries to supply us with these. Surely with the world in turmoil and the impact of Russia holding us all to ransom for oil it shows how we need to be self reliant. The environmental disruption to our very scarce open green spaces will have an even greater impact on our eco system. Temperatures are rising, species are being wipe out and the eco system is so reliant on each an every insect, animal, flower, trees we are just leading toa path to destruction. Burbage Common and its surrounding fields are so desperately needed for wild life and our own good health that to destroy this is criminal not only to ourselves but to our future generations. PLEASE consider the environmental impact of the not needed proposal. there is another freight terminal along the A5 that is rarely used. It seems to me that companies profits are more important than the national interest of this country today and in the future.
