Burbage Common has long provided an unspoiled green space for residents of Burbage, Hinckley and the surrounding villages. It has a rich history and is one of the few remaining areas where people can walk in a natural and peaceful environment. The proposed freight terminus will dominate the area visually, create noise and bring in an influx of heavy and work vehicles. The amenity of the Common will be forever destroyed and this development will deprive both people and wildlife of a natural, countryside environment.
