I am open minded about the proposed development overall and not against it in a general sense. However, I would strongly object to it proceeding unless it was an absolute condition that a new road be created linking the M69 junction to the B4114 and bypassing Sapcote to the south. This new road is essential to cater for the additional traffic that will be generated both by the proposed development itself, and also because of the improved access to the M69 that will be created by the proposed (and very welcome) additional slip roads at Jnc 2. This improved M69 access will attract existing traffic from local road users from several nearby settlements who currently have to use either Jnc 1 to the south, or Jnc 3 to the north, to gain access to the M69 going towards Coventry. The new road should start either directly from the M69 Jnc 2 roundabout, or a very short distance from it to the east along the B4669, before the existing Stanton Lane junction. It should curve around the south side of Sapcote at a reasonable distance and (ideally) should then join the B4114 at the same point as the existing Sharnford Road/Coventry Road junction. A roundabout at this point would resolve both existing, and future, delays at this junction point. Without this new road being mandatory, the project is unacceptable.
