I live on the edge of Stoney Stanton and believe the impact if this project gets the go ahead will be a great travesty to the surrounding villages and the local people. All of Burbage common and Woods have been for public use since the year dot, it is a heritage (and should hold the status of a heritage site) site that should be retained for future and further future generations to enjoy. We have a massive warehouse and distribution centre at Magna Park where this project should really be being placed, why ruin the lovely country side in close proximity to some lovely small villages by placing yet another monstrosity site so close. I cannot say for sure noise, light pollution etc will be an issue but you don't need to be a rocket scientist to know that they will have a tremendous impact to all of the surrounding areas. The road structure around the area and through all of the villages are already at capacity and were not designed for additional loads, this was all an horse and cart area we already have so many issues with the likes of Calor Gas lorries going through the villages. The creation of jobs you might say is a factor, but this would be the same if the project was sited 8/10 miles away at Magna Park people still would need to travel, so feel that argument is irrelevant, there are currently many job opportunities locally without using that as a bait. I could go on and on of the disadvantages and areas of concern that this project would be to the area but truthfully feel it will fall on to deaf ears. Thank you for reading my objection against this site and hope that my comments are truly appreciated.
