This is going to have a huge impact on the road and rail infrastructure not just locally around Sapcote, Stoney Stanton, Elmsthorpe but out as far as Enderby, Narborough etc. The road network is near capacity now and with the relief road being taken out of the plans how on earth are HgVs and staff traffic going to get out onto the motorway network without causing severe issues. The railway crossing at Narborough will be down for most of the hour every hour and will totally split Narborough and Littlthorpe villages who share facilities such as library, doctors surgery, church and shops. This has been ill thought out and with such a high amount of hGvs will not be a rail freight interchange at all, interchange means from train to train. The A47 and junction 21 of the M1 and M69 are already incredibly busy and this will impact anything going into Leicester city too. I am also a county councillor and was a district councillor until the last election and have planning committee experience. Consultation with the developers has been very weak and they have not worked with the local government at district and county to get a reasonable project that will satisfy the residents that are going to be able to see this from a long way away as it is not proposed to put it in a film or anything like other rail freight interchanges. This will tower 28m I believe at points.
