This proposed development will cause Environment damage and disturbance to wildlife. The close proximity of the project to Burbage Common and woods will spoil this peaceful area enjoyed by many and disturb our native birds and animals, already under threat if you listen to Sir David Attenborough. It will affect us as residents in Sapcote and with noise from lorries as they load and unload reversing up to bays. Light pollution will also affect our home and this will be 24 hours a day. Increased traffic: 10,000 lorries a day will overwhelm our village. There will be higher levels of pollution in the air as a result. We already have other freight terminals within a 40 mile radius, of this proposal such as DiRFT, another is sited north of the county off the M1 and Magna Park. The M69 already has traffic jams at peak times without adding further vehicles and the railway at Narborough has traffic queues at the level crossing, without adding further trains. There just doesn’t appear to be enough research completed on how this extra demand will work. This development threatens our whole way of life and will fundamentally change our village for ever, overwhelmingly destroying and disrupting our day to day living.
