Access to our housing estate is via the A47 and our property backs onto this road. The level of traffic has noticeably increased in the 9 years we have lived here. Our main concern is the massive increase of HGV vehicles causing more traffic noise, pollution and congestion. We spend a lot of time in the garden, eating, sitting and entertaining. The extra traffic will have a major impact on our quality of life and mental health, if we are unable to enjoy our time in the garden to the fullest. Congestion especially on the A47 and A5, including the narrow, low height railway bridge on the A5. We are keen walkers and regularly walk around Burbage common and woods, which this freight development will have a devastating impact on the wildlife and environment. The current noise level from passing trains using this line is very noticeable, which are infrequent at the moment. With the proposed number of trains using the freight terminal, we cannot comprehend the level of pollution and noise on the local environment. Do we really need another train terminal?
