I do not see the need for this project as I know that there is an existing rail freight terminal only 15 miles away (DIRFT). Indeed, according to my local MPs website there are 7 rail freight interchanges within 40 miles of the proposed site. This level of duplication does not make sense and appears to be indicative of a lack of strategic and joined up thinking. Should it go ahead it will negatively impact where I live in terms of increased traffic in an already overcrowded area and peaceful enjoyment of Burbage Common and Woods. Noise pollution and light pollution will also increase.
