This project, adjacent to one of the few open public spaces (Burbage Common) cannot be other than a total eyesore. It's height & footprint will be completely at odds with the area & the Common in particular. The impact on the rail system, particularly the level crossing at Narborough, which is already a bottle-neck, will have a huge & detrimental effect in the area. Equally, the impact on the local road system - which is desperately in need of a major upgrade - will simply overload the roads capacities, causing major traffic impact for miles around. Looking at other "beneficial infrastructures" in the area, i.e. 2 x DPD warehouses & an Amazon warehouse, all within ½ mile of the junction of the M69 (junction 1) & the main A5 trunk road (a single carriageway, 2 lane road, with one of the "top ten" most hit railway bridges in the country, & by some coincidence MUST feed the proposed railway distribution hub), where both Amazon & DPD "bus" workers in from surrounding towns & cities, this development will do virtually nothing to provide jobs to local people. Having looked at the available plans for this proposed development, & considering my submissions above, I cannot see a single plus point in its favour.
