From review of information provided by Tritax Symmetry on their website about the proposal, I have the following comments: 1. The size of the development seems excessively large. It's not clear why it needs to be so big. 2. There is mention of adding sliproads to the M69 (south) and a new access road to the A47, but nothing beyond that. The additional traffic has to get to the M69 and A47: a. The A47 has many junctions, and is congested at Hinckley, at the B582 junction and at Leicester Forest East at peak times. b. The M69 now has improved connection to the A46 through fewer roundabouts and the connection to the M6 is reasonable, but only to the west, not the east. The M69/M1 junction will need significant improvement as there are long queues on the M1 southbound and M69 northbound at peak times. c. The A5 is congested around Hinckley. There are too many roundabouts and other junctions close together and this hinders traffic flow. There are often collisions of HGVs with the low railway bridge on the A5 and the low railway bridge in Hinckley. The A5 will need significant changes.
