This proposal is unwarranted. Unnecessary and has little to do with rail freight. It is a lame excuse for warehousing and distribution. The environmental impact will be devastating. The pollution, including noise, light and emissions of all types, crippling to the area’s ecology. It will remove a vast area of fertile food producing land, vital to the future of the countries self sufficiency. Add virtually no employment per square metre to an area where unemployment is low anyway and effectively de ruralise the whole area. In essence the whole proposal is a farce and it stinks of corruption and greed!
