The highway’s infrastructure is not suitable to support the additional traffic that will travel through Fosse Villages. We already experience issues with large hgv vehicles not being able to negotiate the bends without mounting the kerbside, this has added danger to pedestrians, whilst damaging the footpath and buildings. Additional commuter traffic will impact safety in the villages due to speeding and density. Environmental issues will be caused from extra vehicle emissions, noise and light. Ecological problems will be loss of green space impacting wildlife and air quality already under attack from traffic on M69.
