  1. Burbage Woods and Common - an SSSI which was gifted many years ago to the people of Hinckley for the health and recreation of the people of the area. there is bound to be damage to the habitat and ecology of the area due to noise pollution, destroying something very special by upsetting its natural balance 2. Traffic. This village and others around have been subjected to increased heavy traffic over the years due to the siting of such businesses as Calor Gas on the outskirts. Stoney Stanton is also used as a 'cut through' from the A47 to the A5 via Sharnford. There will be bound to be an harmful increase of lorries and other traffic coming through the villages from the B4114, A5, and A47 as they access the site. On the routes through the villages, Burbage and Sapcote present a difficult access through both settlements and Sharnford has problems anyway with heavy traffic accessing the A5 from the B4114. Stoney Stanton also has a large primary school with children using the local roads throughout the day. 3. Safety of the line. There are regular problems on the Birmingham to Leicester line with low bridge damage on the Rugby Road, Hinckley and the A5 which means periodically the line will be closed, rendering it inefficient. 4. Local infrastructure. The roads around the development have not really developed to take the existing weight of traffic, although the settlements themselves have grown considerably. The road from Sapcote to Hinckley is still a two lane road, even though it has access to the northern M69, and the road through Stoney Stanton regularly becomes congested with traffic. Minor traffic problems in the road into Hinckley can easily lead to tailbacks of a couple of miles or so, which can be slow to clear at times. And, speaking personally, I can see the effect of constant heavy traffic on the road outside my house in Long Street. the locality is not equipped to be suitable for such a massive change to the area. Anyone who lives here will agree that this development is unwise and does not take into account the fragile natural surroundings or infrastructure of the application. It needs wiser and more intelligent consideration.
