I do not agree with this freight terminal. It is in an inappropriate location. Adjacent to an area of natural beauty used by a great many people all year. The proposals to construct a road through the site ( inspire of a tree lined road) will cause both light and air pollution 24/7. The possible benefits for transport reduction , in no way compare with the added maximum use of vans and lorries delivering locally and midlands wide. The route necessary to use depends on the A5 in either directions. Until road widening and changes to the bridge st Hinckley this route for excessive extra traffic is not a feasible project. The alterations to the M69 junction would also cause excessive traffic and pollution to residents in Burbage, Sapcote and surrounding villages. This is not needed, jobs are not needed, there are sufficient existing freight terminals in the country.
