I strongly object to the proposal. With Segro/East Midlands Gateway and DIRFT rail terminals there is no clear requirement or benefit for the rail terminal here. As a local resident of Sapcote there will be a huge impact in our village of HGV traffic accessing HNRFI and commuter traffic accessing the motorway network. No proposals have been made to address this. The route through the village is not wide enough to accommodate HGVs and as we walk the road daily to access the primary school we have significant safety concerns as HGVs regularly have to mount the pavement in order to navigate through the village.
