I am very concerned about this application for a lot of reasons. In my opinion it is too close to areas of Burbage common, the noise of building and running the rail freight interchange, the 24hour running of the it, the light pollution will all disturb the wildlife and peace of Burbage Common. The availability of these green spaces is so important for the wildlife and for human's mental well-being . It is close to Stoney Stanton where I live. I feel it will increase traffic through the village, which is already making it difficult in the village, so even more would not help! The loss of a village "feel" and community would spoil Stoney Stanton and the other Fosse Vilages. We wanted a village "feel" when we bought our first house in Stoney Stanton 40 odd years ago and chose not to move out for our second house. There are several Rail freight exchanges already set up, with warehousing, reasonably close to this proposed one, why is another needed? The extra lorries will cause air pollution and if another slip road is built for the M69 to allow access to Coventry there will be an increase in car traffic too. I don't understand why this application is even being considered when the Government have agreed it is important to have green spaces!
