This will decimate local countryside and wildlife habitats and become a huge blot on a very pleasant landscape. Burbage common will be at huge risk as a recreational and conservation area. Traffic through our local villages will be unbearable and the infrastructure is not in place to cope. There are 3 other rail freight hubs in the East Midlands, this proposal is totally unnecessary and a waste of taxpayers money. All local authorities are against the plans.
