The massive impact to the usability of Burbage common, which will no longer be tranquil countryside, but will be polluted by noise, light and undoubtedly fumes from trucks and trains. The local road infrastructure is already at breaking point and the added hgv traffic will destroy the ability for locals to travel. It is without doubt that hgv drivers will take "shortcuts" through local roads to get to the A5 and surrounding highways which can barely handle local traffic with parked cars on either side, let alone the influx of hgvs. There is no need for the site either, with 3 other logistics parks within a stones throw of Hinckley. The wildlife which will be displaced and the loss of arable land will be unforgivable. Not to mention the increased railway traffic on an already at-capacity line, and increased risk of A5 bridge strikes. The plan will completely destroy the delicate balance that exists between industry and society which exists within Hinckley and Bosworth, and will turn it into little more than a transient ghost village for hgv drivers.
