I am strongly opposed to this development. Our village is the subject of constant proposals to build housing or monstrosities such as this. I moved to this village 10 years ago and am dismayed to see the village I love slowly be surrounded by DPD depots and Amazon warehouses, the roads are struggling to accommodate the traffic, driving through the village is a nightmare and because of this I see frustrated motorists driving too quickly, I fear for pedestrians, especially my children as they walk to school. The additional people this may draw to the area is of deep concern, the Dr's surgery is unable to cope with demand, it's nigh on impossible to get an appointment, I have to go to Nuneaton for a dentist because the local ones are too busy and you can't get an appointment. Hastings is always over subscribed and if more people move here this will get worse. One of my biggest objections is the impact on the environment, Burbage Common is a haven for wildlife as are the surrounding fields. At some point we have to prioritise their habitat over our greed for instant delivery of online orders! The decision for these developments is often made by people who don't live in the area and are not impacted, would they want this and all of the noise pollution, traffic pollution and damage to a beautiful wooded area on their doorstep. The simple answer is no they would not!! Please thunk about the people who have to live next to this awful freight terminal, we purchased our houses here for a reason, we love our village for a reason and we're gradually seeing that eroded, our green spaces are being filled with industrial units, please please consider us carefully and do the right thing for the good of our community, prioritise people and wildlife over profits.
