I recently moved to Olympic way which is adjacent to the golf course and burbage common. I moved there to get away from the area where I previously lived which was a similar distance from an industrial area to the proposed hub. The noise and traffic levels I experienced at my previous address were unbearable, as was the level of air pollution from lorries. Since moving I have had a considerable improvement in my health and well-being. We were not informed about the potential development by our solicitors as it had not been approved, however I have heard talk that it is already a ‘done deal’. My concerns about this development are as follows: - increased traffic levels, noise and pollution from lorries dropping off/collecting freight and staff arriving/leaving work. - increased train traffic and therefore increased noise. - noise pollution from movement of freight and vehicles - Loss of green space - Loss of wildlife habitats - Poorer quality of life for those in the nearby areas
