*The site proposed has limited space for such a development, once built there is no room to expand. *The main line proposed to feed this development is an old Victorian rail line many of the old bridges will need to be replaced, how long will the line withstand the increased traffic? * There are many houses that have been built close to this rail line the increase in train activity will effect all that live nearby. *There are a number of nearby Rail Freight terminals so how is this required. * There are better placed options eg: expand the existing terminal next to East Midlands Airport. The power station next to it is due to be demolished use that land instead or build the terminal at Magna Park, it has already been proposed to add a rail line to the industrial site linking to the Lutterworth rail line. *Where is the business/ demand for this development in this exact area- In the consultations it was never clear and often contradicted. *The proposed site is next to an area of community interest which provides green space and wildlife habit; the development will effect wildlife as its being built and once it is fully operational, driving many of the species out of the area especially the Monk Jack deer and effecting the birds and insects with 24 hour light pollution. People using Burbage common will not be able to escape the drones of industry reducing the mental health benefits of the green space area. * Pollution increases to the local area in the form of air, noise and light. * The road network surrounding the proposed development has major traffic problems already, how is it able to cope with the large number of lorries entering and exiting the site? The M1 is a daily issue especially around J21, The A46 is regularly closed due to accidents from Leicester to Newark, the Coventry side of the A46 is always congested even with the new improvements, the M69 is problematic at rush hour, the A47 is problematic into Leicester and along Hinckley at the industrial estates and the A5 junction. *The traffic increase will make local roads impossible to commute on. * On a personal note my life will be effected with increased road traffic and traffic jams. Like many my time on Burbage common is peaceful and allows me to escape the daily grind of life; this will not be the case when i can hear forklifts beeping in the background, trains constantly on the rail line and lorries or machinery hums in the air.
