I object to this planning application on many grounds. 1. The road network in Burbage is already under severe pressure and with the number of new houses in the pipeline it is set to get a lot worse. Navigating along Coventry Road is always difficult causing many vehicles to mount the pavement as the only way of getting through. Last week I waited for what seemed like an eternity as a bus tried to squeeze between parked cars. Those coming towards it were unable to back up and let it through due to the number of cars behind the lead vehicle. 2. The number of heavy lorries rumbling through the 20 mph conservation area is already a major disruption to the tranquility of our village and this development would mean many more. 3. Building a huge freight terminal so close to Burbage Common will adversely affect the enjoyment of this wooded area for its many users. 4. Sound pollution, air pollution and light pollution at night are all bound to increase significantly thereby further reducing the enjoyment of this public space and its surrounding area.
