I am concerned about the impact this development will have on the local road infrastructure due to to the increased traffic servicing the new facilities. Local villages have suffered from an increase in traffic levels over recent years due to significant amounts of housing development without any improvements to the local road network. I have concerns about the direct impact on the residents of Narborough and Littlethorpe from the increased rail traffic on the Leicester to Birmingham line. This will result in increased barrier down time at the Narborough crossing which already results in major congestion in both villages. This will push traffic to the Foxhunter roundabout and through Cosby as people seek to avoid the delays. Local businesses in Narborough are also likely to suffer as people are deterred from visiting the village and getting caught in the increased congestion.
