Significant environmental impact the proposed application would have with the loss of valuable farm and woodland forever together with the destruction of the natural habitat for a huge numbers of different species. Noise, light, air and environmental pollution to all surrounding villages (increased road traffic through all surrounding settlement in particular Stoney Stanton, Sapcote and Burbage) and to the adjacent public access countryside area of Burbage common and woods. Substantial increase in traffic pollution driving increased accident risk to surrounding village populations. Fosse village’s identity and heritage will be eroded and eventually lost forever. Existing international rail freight terminal only some 14 miles away brings into question if this proposed development actually makes any sense and will significantly increase HGV road traffic. Job creation highlighted by developers will be minimal and with the move by the logistics industry towards automation could well be negligible leading to no economic value to the immediate area for an extremely high environmental, ecological, biodiversity, heritage and local village identity cost.
