I am very concerned that a lot of people who visited the consultation evenings and registered their concerns about the first draft of the application will not realise tht they have to repeat their objections for the second version. This could play into Tritax's hands if fewer objections are received this time. However many new trees are planted, they will not make up for the ANCIENT woodland and the wildlife of Burbage Common being subjected to noise/dust pollution and disruption by this development. Not to mention the human locals in Elmsthorpe and surroundings. The centre of Narborough grinds to a halt evey 30 minutes, or less when a train passes through. When I raised this at the local consultation meeting I was told that was the fault of local planning officers allowing too much house building in the area and that the extra trains would not be a problem. I was taken aback by such a ridiculous argument. Blaby has low unemployment figures so the new jobs will be attracting workers - in cars - from further afield to work at the development. Just what the over burdened roads in the area do not need. It would be good if the people presiding over the judgement of the site were to spend a few days negotiating the highways to see what the current traffic levels are And spend some time queuing at the railway crossing.
