Hinckley is a small town with limited roads in and out, those are already heavily congested at peak times and it can take little extra to become gridlocked. Increased traffic from workers and commercial vehicles will hugely damage the town and the quality of life for residents to a level that will be intolerable. In recent years the countryside in the district has been eroded by huge expansion of warehousing and this expansion of that would further destroy our rural heritage and right to open spaces. The health of our environment and living space will be hugely adversely affected too, increased coomercial riad traffic going too and from the hub will increase air pollution. The Midlands are already one of the worst places in the country for respiratory diseases like asthma and in parts of the country children are being killed by poor air quality so it would be appalling to inflict that worsening of pollution on local residents. Noise pollution would also be a hugely negative factor with more large trucks thundering through and round the town, more trains on local tracks, building works for years and increased noise from the finished hub. All of this would further damage quality of life fir existing residents. The town does not have the space or infrastructure for a huge influx of workers. Nor could we cope wil people passing through from other locations. Unemployment is not high enough in the area to provide the necessary workforce and could risk taking people away from other essential work. This area has always had lots of open space to walk, breathe, relax and enjoy life, further eroding that will heavily impact the quality of life for so many. Please do not influct this monstrous and unneeded development on this area and its people. Thank you.
