The common is a defining part of the Burbage and Hinckley area, used by many on a daily basis as an escape from the noise of the busy surrounding towns and villages. It houses precious wildlife and even essential businesses such as farms, for example Wood House Farm. The site proposed is clearly one that could be planned elsewhere in locations that have better connected road and rail infrastructures, such as Nuneaton. Not to mention other recent developments such as the Magna Park, one of the largest industrial sites in Europe. Dealing with long term traffic problems in a village the size of Burbage is not an option, loosing large sums of locally loved land to corporations aiming to make money for themselves should not be an option and changing the remaining green landscape of the area should not be an option. If this plan goes through, the people of Burbage hope that the loss and effects weigh on the minds of those responsible for years to come.
