I'm genuinely concerned about the issues this will cause for our local wildlife and natural environment. Not enough is being done to protect nature across the UK, as one of the most nature depleted countries in the world, and Leicestershire is already lacking in green spaces compared to other counties. The noise from motorways can also be heard at the majority of our green spaces in the county, removing some of the positive effects they have. 662 acres of rural land will be taken up by this project, which will effect the entire local community, increase traffic, increase pollution and remove green space. We are in a climate crisis, why not try and work towards actually doing something about that instead.
