In my opinion this development should not go ahead for a number of reasons: First the massive increase in traffic movements will lead to increased levels of air and noise pollution from diesel rail locomotives and road vehicles. Inevitable night-time working will also increase light pollution. Destruction of 600+ acres of farmland/countryside under vast unsightly warehouses will put more pressure on our already depleted wildlife. This area is home to a number of Red listed breeding bird species and a healthy population of Brown Hares. This development will also have a detrimental effect on nearby Burbage Common and Woods together with the loss of many popular public footpaths.
