Living near to the A5 with its many logistic hubs, you cannot fail to see the detrimental impact on the local infrastructure and local peoples’ daily lives. The road system is very often log jammed due to the amount of traffic in the area and it is often at a standstill if there is an accident. What also goes hand in hand with this increase in work opportunities is an increase in housing. We are inundated with housing applications, most are successful, but nobody gives any serious thought to the local infrastructure roads, services and schools, all of which are sadly lacking and are at breaking point. Another massive logistics hub, as this application is, will only increase the strain on the local infrastructure. What will inevitably follow will be more houses and the cycle will go on. It has to stop in this area.
