The impact of this project will be catastrophic for the entire community, Due to a multitude of factors including the local infrastructure does not support such a gain in traffic to and from the site. Burbage and the surrounding areas are already consumed by excess vehicles trying to navigate through the villages and town. Because of over populating with new housing projects everywhere within the community. The increase in HGV traffic will also be totally unacceptable due to the amount of pollution these vehicles omit. What happens if the motorway is closed for accidents or maintenance work? These HGV’s will be re-routed through the villages!. The noise pollution is also an issue. The proposal is to close to all the surrounding villages. There are numerous rail freight hubs in the local vicinity in far better locations, away from towns and villages. The scale of the project needs to realised, it’s the third of the size of Burbage. The planned site area is currently a wildlife haven. This area will be lost forever for the future generations and with it the natural habitat of animals, birds, insects that exist today. Together with a vast area of greenery and trees. We need to protect these areas for our own existence. Increasing pollution and taking away the foundation to provide oxygen is not very eco friendly!
