Over the last 10 years I have seen what seems to be an exponential growth in the amount of vehicular traffic on our local roads. I am a cycle mechanic and worry that the impact of further increased vehicles (staff and haulage from the terminal) will further erode the quiet lanes that my customers enjoy as road users search for quicker rat runs. This will negatively affect my business. The DIRFT facilities on the A5 and the massive DPD vehicles have all had negative impact on my enjoyment of what was a beautiful rural environment. I don't want any more deterioration. I look at the verges and see the impact of road debris and litter. It's shocking. I now ride with front and rear cameras to record the shocking driving from the increasing number of vehicles and regularly submit to the Police.
