The local area has already had significant changes as a result of large scale distribution centres on the edge of Hinckley on the A5. Even with development to the surrounding roads, the increased traffic footprint as a result of such a large scale development would manifest itself in further traffic congestion and delays on an already congested system. Any economic benefit would be negated by our region turning in to a glorified industrial estate, thereby removing any desirability for the area.
