The original concept is now outdated as the rush for carbon neutral transport is being fast tracked. We have the advance in electric vehicles and other forms being trialed. The movement of goods by rail ,means the transfer of the lorries from the south to the Midlands, giving a concentrated higher pollution in the atmosphere within the area. The Green space around Elmesthorpe allows the absorption of carbon by the trees and crops,but this benefit will be lost.
