The proposed buildings will be a visual encroachment for anyone using Burbage Common. This leisure area and green space will loose its environmental and mental health benefits. Without doubt there will be an increase in heavy goods vehicle traffic in the area. The only improvement in road infrastructure is M69 junction upgrade. The other roads in the area are not capable of accommodating this increased traffic. The aesthetics of the building design appear to be unimaginative and quite frankly an eye sore. Unemployment in the area is low and therefore where will the workers come from or where will they live. Commuting to the site will add additional pressure to already minor roads carrying excess traffic way above what was originally envisaged. Basic utilities of water, electricity and broadband will need to be upgraded for a step change requirement of this site. The plans really only represent the space proposed for the interchange they are not thought through for the surrounding area.
