- It will decimate farmland and woodland and destroy the natural habitat for many different species. Furthermore, Tritax were not able to provide any evidence at the consultation that similar managed green spaces on other 'warehouse type developments' have attracted back the displaced wildlife. 2. There will be increased light, noise and environmental pollution to the surrounding villages due to the operation of the NRFI being 24/7. 3. The site will generate an increase in traffic; both from HGVs and from workers commuting to/ from the site across multiple shift patterns in the 24 hour period. This will add to the already congested traffic in / around Hinckley particularly at peak commuting times, as well as generating higher levels of traffic pollution. 4. Countryside footpaths within the designated site are used by local walking groups and individuals throughout the year. These footpaths will be permanently removed and only be replaced by a single footpath skirting the warehouse site which is unacceptable. 5. The proposed site is situated adjacent to Burbage Common and woods where there is an abundance of wildlife. It is likely the light and noise pollution from the site will have detrimental impact on this wildlife, as well as people who use this common space on a daily basis.
